Formacoat Launches New Web Site

On or Off the Web Formacoat Makes the Tools of Medicine Run Smoother

Minneapolis, June 8, 2009 - Formacoat, a leading contract manufacturer that applies lubricious hydrophilic coatings to medical devices, today announced the launch of its new customer friendly Web site www.formacoat.com. Formacoat provides high quality, contract manufacturing coating services to medical device manufacturers the world over. Notably, the site reflects the values and vision of its founder, Mark Gross, CEO, whose has wide ranging and varied functional industrial roles in the development, manufacture and commercialization of sodium hyaluronate, a key component of Biocoat's Hydak® coating system. Formacoat collaborates with Biocoat to bring customer's coatings solutions to life.

The site is the result of a collaboration with MVP Marketing + Design, Inc. of Minneapolis, an award-winning marketing communications firm specializing in medical device marketing. The Web site was accompanied by similarly themed communications including a new corporate capabilities brochure and tradeshow exhibit, all of which share a common identity. MVP also revised the Formacoat logo to better reflect Formacoat's ideal of helping clients to "make the tools of medicine run smoother." Drawing on distinctive and proprietary imagery, the site features useful coatings information, fluid navigation and engaging multimedia to demonstrate Formacoat's ability to apply hydrophilic coatings to diverse medical and biotechnology devices, e.g., stents, drug delivery catheters, device balloons and implants.
